She’s so ornery!

Look what I found!
Last week, Lucy made a very important discovery. Her belly button. She can’t help but pull up her shirt and poke it to make sure that it’s still there. My favorite is when she’s walking around half bent over, trying to look at it. We can even ask her where her belly button is and she’ll gladly show it. Of course, she also has to pull up mommy’s and daddy’s shirts to make sure that we have one, too!

Break.
I will be taking the week off from blogging. Just thought I would let you all know not to expect any updates this week.
I’m sure I’ll have more stories and pictures to share next week!

My husband, the romantic.
For those of you who don’t know, Tony can be quite the poet. While we were dating, he wrote several poems, most of which were featured in our wedding. However, since we’ve been married, I’ve only received one or two poems. That is, until yesterday.
Yesterday, on our fourth anniversary, Tony was so moved by love and romantical feelings that he broke into spontaneous poetry. I couldn’t help but share it with all of you.
me: “I love you more today than I did the day we were married.”
him: “My love for you is as deep as the ocean…and as wide as your ass.”

the joys of parenting…
Last night at dinner, I overheard a conversation that I never thought I’d hear between an adult and a toddler.
dad: “Why are you moving your food from the plate to the cup holder?”
baby: “da da da da da da”
dad: “You’re not a transporter, you’re a consumer! Put the food in your mouth!”
